CAMPING DE LA BONNE TERRE - Campsite in Aurère, Cirque of Mafate
From July 2013, 400 yards from the charming hamlet of Aurère in Mafate, La Bonne Terre Campsite offers you the opportunity to rent an equipped tent or pitch your own.
The friendly owner, Jean-Pierre Thomas, a farmer by profession, has built its terraced land to provide a comfortable and horizontal slope. Hikers will have the opportunity to plant their own tent. They may also, if they do not wish to bring some camping gear on the hiking trails, rent one of those proposed by Mr Thomas and enjoy the comfort of a double mattress, sheets and a duvet for a warm night.
Pets are not allowed.
[Afficher plus...]Tents available are designed to accommodate 3 people, but are leased for a maximum of 2 people for their comfort: a canopy provides shelter for backpacks and hiking shoes, and the occupants of the tent shall feel more at ease inside.
The toilet block has 2 showers, 2 toilets and a sink.
Breakfast is optional: milk, coffee, tea, chocolate, bread, butter, homemade jam (in season).
For lunch or dinner, we offer
take-away carris for 9€ / meal.

The table d’hote
To regain strength in the evening, Mr. Thomas offers meals at his table d’hote.
The farmer and his wife prepare meals based on farm products; fruits and vegetables (lettuce, cabbage, carrots, beets, cauliflower ...) and farmyard animals (ducks, chickens, roosters ...) are on the menu.

In order to book the table d’hote,
please send a deposit check of 25% of the total amount.
